Regarding the last sentence above however, I thought it was well established that the Fort Parker attack was by Comanches. Certainly, Cynthia Ann Parker and her less well known today cousin Rachel Plummer, who along with several others were captured in the raid, lived with Comanches. Cynthia was with them for 28 {corrected, 25} years and was welll integrated into the tribe, Rachel for almost two years before escaping. Rachel wrote two compelling and very literary published narratives of her time with the tribe.
