Bug, neither my husband nor I recall a Bloody Hollow at White Rock. Perhaps he was thinking of the drowned girl in white wet clothing legend. Some places have the same legend with the girl near a Hollow.
In the 60s White Rock was a great hang out spot for picnicing, uhhhh talking etc. I had 2 different sorority sisters who lived on the ridge above the lake. When we were in town back in 2007 for a Legacies presentation we decided to sight see out that way. Could not believe some of the huge new McMuffin Mansions now there. Back then the "Mount Vernon" look alike and another colonial were the 2 biggest.
