I googled Mustang Airport Dallas and found this.....
Mustang Airport
Mustang Field (corner of Norhwest Highway and Abrams Road) was apparently built at some point between 1937-42, as it was not yet listed among active airfields in the Airport Directory Company's 1937 Airport Directory. The earliest depiction of Mustang Field which has been located was on the September 1942 Dallas Sectional Chart. It depicted Mustang as a commercial airport.
There is also some information of the guesstimated closing by 1956.
The same page has info on "Dallas Hudson Airport" which later known as "Dallas Garland Airport".
Luscombe / Temco Garland Airport and White Rock Airport are also mentioned.
