Anyone with an interest in tunnels under cities generally and not just Dallas might look at London Under by Peter Ackroyd, published 2011. Ackroyd has chapters on the catacombs, electrical cable, pedestrian, river diversions and enclosures, sewers, transportation, water mains, under London and the workers who built them, the associated literature and legend, and the artifacts and fossils found during excavation. The first item on the list I've given, catacombs, prompts me to ask, does Dallas have anything that might be likened to catacombs?
I recall that a fossil of a large sea going reptile was found during the building of the American Air Lines terminal at DFW and put on display. I was caught between flights once and rode the train around to see it. I don''t know if it is still on display or not.
I imagine that a large number of interesting fossils were destroyed during the digging of the great collider tunnel and that parts of others are visible on the surface of the walls, don't suppose they will ever be seen.
