Interesting -

Wasn't most of the earth west of Houston Street scraped away to build the triple underpass and Dealey Plaza?

There is a ca 1930 photo of Frank M Cockrell examining a spring on the bluff that had a pipe and cistern for collection.

There were also a number of cisterns below the city streets for fire fighting including one or two at Houston and Main and several wells within the buildings west of Houston Street that were demolished in 1935-36.

SMU did a pretty thorough examination behind the school book depository several years ago that attributed several features and artifacts to Bryan's occupation.
